Step 1

Intake Process

Upon arrival at our state-of-the-art packing house, the avocados undergo a rigorous intake process, separate from the cleaning process. Here’s what happens:

Offloading with Care: The freshly harvested bounty is carefully offloaded from transport vehicles. Our people ensure no damage occurs during this transfer.

Initial Inspection: Each avocado undergoes a preliminary inspection for any visible signs of external damage or blemishes that disqualify it from further processing. This ensures only high-quality fruits enter the cleaning stage.

Step 2

Processing/Cleaning

Avocados that pass the initial inspection proceed to the dedicated cleaning area. Here’s what happens:

Gentle Brushing: The avocados are gently brushed to remove any loose dirt, debris, or leaves that may have clung to them during harvest and transport. This brushing is meticulous to avoid damaging the delicate fruit skin.

Sanitization: Based on customer requirements, the avocados may undergo a gentle sanitization process using food-safe solutions. This ensures an extra layer of cleanliness, especially for export shipments

Drying: After cleaning, the avocados are carefully dried using air blowers or a controlled airflow environment. This ensures no excess moisture remains on the skin, which could affect shelf life.

Step 3

Quality Check

The avocados embark on a series of quality checks performed by trained personnel. These checks, separate from the intake process, focus on:


Size and Color Consistency: Each fruit is meticulously examined to ensure uniformity in size and consistent color appropriate for its ripeness stage.



Blemishes and Imperfections: The avocados are closely inspected for any blemishes, defects, or imperfections that may compromise quality.

Only avocados that pass all these stringent checks proceed to the packing stage, where they are sorted, graded, and packaged based on customer needs.

Step 4

Packing

We offer a variety of packing options to cater to your needs. The avocados are first sorted by size and grade. This meticulous process ensures each package contains avocados of uniform size and ripeness.

Customizable Packaging: We understand that you may have specific preferences. We can create customized packaging solutions based on your requirements.

Standard Crate Packaging: For our standard offering, the avocados are gently placed in specially designed crates that protect the fruit during transport. These crates come in various sizes, including:

4 kg Crates: Ideal for smaller quantities or individual consumers.

5 kg Crates: Perfect for households or small businesses. 10 kg Crates: Suited for larger businesses or wholesale orders

Step 5

Cooling

The packed avocados are then cooled after packing before shipping. This is done to extend the shelf life of the fruit and maintain its quality during transit.

Avocados are typically harvested when they are still firm and unripe, and chilling them helps to slow down the ripening process. By keeping the avocados at a consistent temperature, it helps to prevent them from ripening too quickly or becoming overripe before reaching their destination.

This practice ensures that consumers receive fresh and high-quality avocados when they purchase them from the store.

Step 6

Shipping

The packed avocados are then carefully loaded onto refrigerated trucks maintained by trusted logistics companies like Maersk, CMA CGM, ONE, and Hapag-Lloyd.
